India: contract, limitation and data protection

India is a common-law jurisdiction. Contract is governed by the Indian Contract Act 1872, and the Limitation Act 1963 sets a general three-year limitation period for contractual claims, subject to the SAP agreement’s terms and its governing-law and dispute clauses, which for global vendors are frequently foreign or arbitration-based.
